Born To Rock: First Idea from years agoby ~BTR88tuxedoblack

The story behind this artwork is quite interesting. At the time I was doing a non-art related course. I was 21 at the time, studying IT and we had to design a logo for our mock company for an assignment. I thought of a Chipmunk tape as a child I owned by the Chipmunks called 'Born To Rock' and that became the name of my company.

Also, it was a logo used when I finished my Information Technology course a few years later when I studied Graphic Design. The idea behind the Born To Rock persona is about childhood, purity and its more than me. Its a symbol of being happy and that you dont need to be violent or sexual to have fun. One day I will pass this persona and art style onto someone else who I think would like to continue it, as this is simply a side of me. As I grow older I feel more and more detached to this point in time, becoming a twenty something and less of a kid.

When I drew this I was still learning to draw chipmunks so I used a trace sheet just for the outlines and drew in the faces myself. I hope I have gotten better since then
