Okay,

I'm really cool if people disagree because it's just an opinion but this is how I want to see them in the new Chipmunks Cartoon.

I'd want it to be set in the 80's or at the very latest 1990. Imagine the possibility of covers they could do if the 80's was the hot and the current time period. I'd make the Chipmunks look like they did in the daydream sequence in the episode 'Bigger' where they are the 'Fur Balls' with Alvin, Simon and Theodore dressed as glam rockers. They look a little older and it would be a good continuation from the television series. I would have the intro with the song 'Girls of Rock and Roll' except they are looking how I mentioned, showing short shots of them putting a black fingerless glove on a hand, or puffing up their wild hair, or putting on a rhinestone belt or studs. Putting on tight jeans with torn holes in the knees for the boys or just tight jeans and the Chipettes are dressed as they were in 'Bigger'. instead of being in Greece they might run up another landmark with a new dance sequence or even just to the top of their High School to show their new surroundings.

I'd still have them at school, perhaps high school but retain their innocence. I would have moral issues like there was in 'Cookie Chomper III' throughout the show and one thing I always thought would be cool is a recurring issue which doesn't get resolved in one episode. Perhaps they are trying to stop the bank taking their family home and over a series of episodes must make money to help Dave, and there is a tension as the deadline looms closer. I would like what you'd call a 'villain' maybe a rival singer (human not chipmunk) or someone that just tries to undermine them. I'd like to see Simon and Jeanette and Theodore and Eleanor get together as an unofficial couple but somehow Alvin and Brittany's love/hate relationship makes them always pushing each other away. One of them tries to deliberately hurt the other by dating someone else like another kid at school, and we get to see how Alvin or Brittany handle being jealous.

The credits would be 'Pink Cadillac' and it would just be all the Chipmunks cruising in Miss Miller's pink Cadillac as the sunset and they are driving down a hill. Their hair would be fluttering in the wind and maybe Brittany is in the front seat with Alvin looking at her reflection in the side mirror, doing her hair, Jeanette's reading a book and pointing things out to Simon, and Theodore is handing a spare cupcake to Eleanor. I am interested to this of this current generation of little kids would respond to the Chipmunks in their 80s form.

I'm not knocking CGI, I'm just curious as to what people would think. Again its just an opinion.
